How to join

Five steps from “first time hearing about it” to your first flight. Both VR and desktop work, and you don’t need any prior skills — we’ll teach you from scratch. Age 14+.

  1. Join our Discord

That’s where event announcements, chat and the organizers are. Ask any question there.

    Open Discord

  2. Join the VRChat group

Academy events are posted in the group calendar, so you’ll see them right in the game. Joining is optional, but when you join you immediately get the “Cadet, 2nd class” rank.

    Open the group

  3. Read the rules

Not knowing the rules does not exempt you from responsibility. It only takes a couple of minutes.

  4. Come to the next event

Flight Wednesday lasts 2 hours and takes place in a new world every time. The full schedule is on the home page.

  5. Rise through the ranks

Uniform is mandatory only for organizers and instructors; for everyone else it’s optional. The rank system, avatar rules and uniform prefabs are in the members section.
